About the event

This will be a tutor-supported retreat. That means that, as well as having lots of time to write, you'll get an individual one to one session with Alison May to discuss your work in progress and she'll be available throughout the weekend to brainstorm, offer a sounding board and answer questions about writing and publishing.

About the Tutor

Alison May is a novelist and short story writer and a former Chair of the Romantic Novelists’ Association. She writes romantic comedies and emotional fiction. Alison has been shortlisted in the Love Stories and RoNA Awards. She is the author of All That Was Lost, Much Ado About Loving, Summer Night Dreams and the Christmas Kisses trilogy. Along with Janet Gover, Alison also writes reinterpretations of misunderstood classic novels, under the penname Juliet Bell (www.julietbell.co.uk and @JulietBellBooks).

Alison is also qualified teacher with a degree in Creative Writing and has taught for NAWG, Worcestershire Litfest and the University of Worcester. She is currently an associate lecturer in creative writing with the Open University. Past students have gone on to achieve agent representation, publication with traditional publishers – including Avon, Boldwood, Bookouture, Headline and Head of Zeus – and to self-publish successfully.
